During the early years of my career I worked with large corporations to establish quality childcare opportunities for the children of working parents.  During those years I was affiliated with the Gesselle Institute of New Haven to assure developmentally appropriate experiences for children.  I also worked closely with the Women in Management Group of Southern New England Telephone.  This group worked with Senator Christopher Dodd to help the Ct Legislature to establish grant opportunities for companies willing to invest corporate dollars to help the children of working families.

I have been teaching in the North Haven Schools since 1999.   My early years in North Haven were spent teaching Kindergarten at Clintonville School.  In 2010 I moved to Green Acres teaching Kindergarten for one year.  In 2011 I moved to Green Acres Kindergarten/Grade 1 Integrated Day program.

Prior to joining the staff of the North Haven Schools I was the original Director of Child Care for the SNET Employees' Child Care Center.  The Center was the first corporate Center of its kind, providing care for children of SNET employees.  The Center was located on the Albertus Magnus College campus and worked closely with the Geselle Institute.     After leaving SNET I opened a child care center for New Britain General Hospital and remained there until the birth of my first child.

My husband Paul and I have two children; Ryan is currently a junior at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh New York.  Leah is a Freshman at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford.

During her Senior year of High School, Leah raised a puppy for the FIDELCO Guide Dog foundation in Bloomfield.  Her involvment has lead our family to become passionate supporters of this wonderful foundation.
